Warp counters are counters that are added to players. Many Purple cards require Warp counters to be useful so getting them is central to Purple's strategy. The downside to acquiring Warp counters is whenever you take damage from any source, that damage is increased by the number of Warp counters you have. Only abilities that state damage in their text have this effect. Loss of life is not effected by Warp counters.
